Being a Central Coast wedding photographer

Hello to all the gorgeous couples out there! I’m stoked that you’ve found me while on the hunt for a wedding photographer! As a Central Coast wedding photographer, I have seen my fair share of weddings in the Hunter Valley, Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast region. And one thing I LOVE is that all my couples are unique. Very few opt for a traditional timeline, a stock standard day, and are so much more in tune with creating a day that is memorable for them as a couple, rather than sticking to the status quo. From Central Coast elopements to the giant weddings in the Hunter Valley. I’ve been a part of them all!

When it comes to your wedding day, I have two things to say. Make it your own, and focus on the moment, not photos.

When you look back on your wedding day in 5 years, 10 years, 40 years, do you want to think ‘I did that because it’s what everyone does…’ ‘We did that because my mum made me…. ‘I wish we did something a bit different…’

Of course you don’t, and this is where I come in. I want your day to be a reflection of you as a couple. And it doesn’t matter whether you’re hosting a small elopement or a big day, this day is about one thing and one thing only: You and your partner.

As a Central Coast wedding photographer, I have a relaxed style for your day, focusing on candid moments, the moments that actually happened and the ones worth remembering. For this to happen, I have a hands-off approach to much of the day, and effortless transition into directing your portraits in a candid style, and then back to a fly on the wall.

Don’t get me wrong, a champagne tower is a hella good photo op. But is it you as a couple? Is it something that flows naturally throughout the day, and is that a moment you want to savour when you’re 80 years old? Maybe, maybe not.

To me, the ones worth preserving are the laughs, your partner crying as they see you walk down the aisle. The first look you weren’t expecting to get emotional at. Your mum is getting you ready. Seeing the way the light danced across the valley at golden hour.

This is what’s worth remembering. As I mentioned, I’ve seen it all. And I love that the couples I work with are in the position to create the days that they want to remember rather than caving to social norms and internet trends.

As an LGBT wedding photographer here on the Central Coast, my space is a safe space. All genders, races, body types, religions and loves are welcome in my space. I work hard to create a safe and inclusive space for all my couples. And I hope that this is a place for you as well!
