Elisha & Tysons: Central Coast engagement photography
As a Central Coast wedding photographer, one thing I LOVE is engagement sessions. Engagement sessions are beneficial for couples in many ways but I personally love them because they are fun. Here on the Central Coast engagement photography can be easy, we are blessed with so many beautiful locations. But we all have our favourite places.
Elisha & Tyson’s drove over an hour for an engagement session with me, so we could take their engagement photo’s at one of my favourite locations. Bateau Bay Beach.
This beach is special to me for many reasons, but on top of everything it is a beautiful beach regardless of the weather. The beach is in a little cove which is only accessible via steep paths making it not the most accessible beach, but this adds to the beauty. On either side of the beach are dramatic headlands making for the perfect backdrop for engagement sessions.
Elisha & Tyson got lucky, we didn’t get the gorgeous golden hour I was hoping for. But we got such soft light, which made perfect for candid photography and a fun session.
We kept the session light, fun and romantic, with even Tyson saying at the end ”I was really worried about this, but that was fun… is that how it’s supposed to be?” Simply yes. Engagement sessions should be fun and engaging. I like to think of engagement sessions as a date with a third wheel. You get all dressed up, spend a quality hour together and you have a little bit of fun. Maybe you bring some drinks, maybe you go out for dinner afterwards. But it’s fun time you and your partner will treasure for years to come.
